The official Question & Answer Session for the 2015 JET Programme will be held onOctober 20th at ANU.  Representatives from the Embassy and JETAA will be in attendance to answer your questions.  They Embassy will be able to provide all the official information and several JETAA members will be able to give you the unofficial lowdown of what it is really like to be on the programme.

Please note:  This session is open to EVERYBODY.  You don’t need to be an ANU student, or even a current uni student/recent graduate to attend or apply for JET!  JET is open to anyone with at least a 3 year degree, so if you aren’t sure, come along!

JET alums: Please pass these details on to family and friends.  There has been increased interest in the JET Programme from the Japanese government, especially with the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, so the time has never been better to apply.  The Programme is also looking for older applicants with work experience, so don’t feel like you are too old to be a participant.

October Oshaberikai, Wed, 8 October

Oshaberikai_Sushi_banner

Our October Oshaberikai and get together will be at IORI+, on Wednesday, 8th October from 6:00pm.

If you can’t speak Japanese come along anyway, we all speak English too!

For those who haven’t been before here’s how it works: You only pay for what you eat/drink. JETAA Canberra provides the renkon chips and edamame.

If you have to leave early, just find your friendly JETAA officer and settle up with them. Don’t forget to tell them what you ordered so we can check your order off the bill. We usually have change so you can pay for drinks as you go, but small bills and coins are always welcome!
