UPDATE

Unfortunately the softball tournament has had to be cancelled due to bad weather. Hopefully they can organise a new date date in the next few weeks.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to participate – don’t worry, its more in the spirit of fun rather than deadly serious. We don’t expect you to be National League champions, but even if you don’t feel like playing, come along and cheer for one team or another and join the mob for lunch.

Where:	Hawker International Softball Centre (Walhallow St, Hawker ACT 2614) Oval 1 and 2.
Date	Saturday, 3rd May 2014
Time	11:15am – 17:00pm
Cost	TBA – AJS will be providing food. BYO water.
Teams	Japanese Embassy, ANU, UC, JETAA/AJS/CJC combined
Practice	Please contact Onagi san – honagi@hotmail.com. Practices are on every Sunday, starting at 2pm on 16 March, at Yarralumla oval on the lake side of the Yarralumla Primary School

Trivia Night, Mon, 26 May

Hi all, it’s time again for our annual Trivia Night, hosted by our trivia mavens, Quizmasters Keith and Ken Parker!

Don’t worry, there will be a mix of questions for everyone, Japanese and Australian alike.

We are looking to organise tables of six people, but if you don’t have enough for your own team, don’t despair we will slot you in somewhere!

$30 will get you entry, some fabulous food and a chance to win some nice goodies.

This will be another combined event so we are hoping for a big turnout (and to hopefully book out IORI+ again!)

May Oshaberikai, Wed, 7 May

Our May Oshaberikai and get together will be at IORI+, on Wednesday, 7th May from 6:00pm.

If you can’t speak Japanese come along anyway, we all speak English too!

For those who haven’t been before here’s how it works: You only pay for what you eat/drink. JETAA Canberra provides the renkon chips and edamame.

If you have to leave early, just find your friendly JETAA officer and settle up with them. Don’t forget to tell them what you ordered so we can check your order off the bill. We usually have change so you can pay for drinks as you go, but small bills and coins are always welcome!
